Microsoft Windows Mobile Device Center, developed by Microsoft Corporation, is a desktop application for Windows Vista and Windows 7 that connects and synchronizes Windows Mobile smartphones and handhelds with a PC. Replacing ActiveSync, it provides a central hub to set up device partnerships, sync Outlook data (email, contacts, calendar, tasks, and notes), transfer photos, music, and videos via Windows Media Player, browse device storage, copy files, and install or remove applications. It supports both USB and Bluetooth connections and is compatible with devices running Windows Mobile 2003 through 6.5. Note that Windows Mobile Device Center is deprecated and no longer maintained, and it is not officially supported on newer versions of Windows.
